Organic reach is at a all time low for Facebook and Instagram. It is essentially a pay-to-play game. Want to increase your organic reach on Facebook and Instagram? Here are a few quick tips we have.

1. Create valuable content

Content is king. Spend some time to come up with content that will grab people’s attention. Remember the last time you shared a post with someone? Think about what made you share that post. From useful tips to funny stories, people will naturally share good content.

2. Increase frequency of post and test different timings

Post more frequently to give your followers more opportunity to engage with your content. Also, try posting at different timings and examine how engagement rates change. By posting when your followers are more likely to be browsing social media, the chances that your content shows up first in their newsfeed increases. On the contrary, your content will have more competition if you post at peak hours.

3. Leverage on UGC

Let your audience create content for you. Take a look at Starbucks and Razer. These companies leverage well on UGC by getting their customers to take part in social media contests and post about these brands on their accounts. Give customers a reason to share your brand online.

4. Use hashtags with a proper hashtag strategy

Most people post without a hashtag strategy. Hashtags are effective in helping people filter through the millions and billions of online content – and land on your post. Create unique hashtags that will help differentiate your content from others.

5. Remind fans to turn on post notifications

An effective method to beat the social media algorithm. By turning on post notifications, your audience will be notified immediately whenever you publish new content.

6. Encourage your fans to share your content if they know anyone that can benefit from it.

Even with good content, people don’t always remember to share them. We encourage you to put a call-to-action signal at the end of every post. A simple “Share this post with someone who struggles with technology!”, can go a long way. Remind your audience of the people in their lives who can benefit from these tips.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
